Presenting, the not-so-ugly Christmas sweaterdress!
Anna Kendrick looked like she was ready to trim the tree at a special screening for Into the Woods at London’s Soho Hotel on Thursday, Dec. 11. The actress who stars as Cinderella in the live-action musical, got festive in a hunter green Dolce & Gabbana knit dress that featured a bold twin-fox embroidered design (Celebrating National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day a little early, no?).
The starlet explained her attraction to Disney story with Marie Claire. “The interesting thing about her is she overthinks things, she’s uncertain — we don’t see that in most versions,” she told the magazine for the December 2014 issue.
“In a lot of ways, I think it’s this incredibly brave story. She’s neglected and abused her entire life [and] she finally gets love it’s not the kind of love she was looking for, and she stands up for herself.”
Kendrick traded her knit frock for a luxurious berry-red wrap dress on Friday, Dec. 12, for the photocall. A red leather belt cinched in the waistline of the cozy-looking ensemble, and black ankle strap pumps Salvatore Ferragamo pumps amped up the luxe factor.
