With her Oscar hosting duties just days away, we imagine that Anne Hathaway is the busiest, and possibly the most nervous, star in Hollywood right now. But at least she can check one very important thing off her to-do list: getting her hair color looking absolutely perfect for the big night. We asked the star's colorist, Clairol Color Director Marie Robinson, to tell UsMagazine.com everything about Hathaway's Academy Awards hair color, including how to get it at home.

PHOTOS: What will Anne, Natalie and more wear to the Oscars?

Us: How did you alter Anne's hair color in preparation for the Oscars?
MR: I made Anne's hair a medium rich brown then painted on highlights in various shades of honey and dark golden blonde to create a warmer tone. We also applied a gloss color to create a shinier look overall.

Us: What kind of discussion did you two have about her hair and how she wants it to look for the ceremony?
MR: Anne had been loving her current shade so we didn't want to make any drastic changes. We talked about adding shine and highlights. Because she is hosting this year, the highlights have to suit a multitude of different looks to compliment her gown and hair changes.

Us: Did she say anything about being nervous about hosting the show?
MR: Anne was cool, calm and collected as always. She is very honored to be hosting the Oscars.

Us: Did she mention how many costume changes she’ll be making? Will her hair change as well?
MR: I'm not sure of the exact number of gown changes but I believe she has several. We discussed strategically placing highlights in various places because she is expecting her hair style to change depending on what she is wearing.

Us: How long did the entire process take?
MR: Three hours. She was very patient with the process, even when I had to rinse her hair out in sections over a sink.

Us: How can someone get Anne's look at home?
MR: To get the look at home, I recommend Nice ‘n Easy Color Blend Foam in Medium Golden Brown for background color and then paint on a few random highlights with the Frost & Tip Highlighting Kit from Clairol.
