The truest devotion! As we all know, Ariana Grande rarely leaves home without her hair slicked back into a high ponytail. Well, this past weekend, she debuted a genius beauty hack: She cut a hole in her hat to accommodate the pony.
Embodying the definition of #BeautyGoals in a snap with two friends, the “Into You” singer, 23, sported an oversize sweatshirt, over-the-knee boots and a slate baseball cap with her signature hairstyle popped through the top. She also rocked a black choker in keeping with her oft-’90s-inspired style.
Countless fans reacted to the DIY job online, including one commenter who tweeted directly to Grande. “Can we talk about you cutting a hole in your hat for your ponytail. LMFAO I love you,” @godlymoon posted. Grande replied that she didn’t do any snipping herself, “but I do have about 10 like that. the hat / pony / visor situation is cute to me.”
While the ponytail is clearly hair to stay, Grande has made a few notable tweaks to her go-to hairstyle (i.e., long, chocolate-hued) as of late. The “Break Free” singer added bright blonde ombre highlights to her tresses in June. Then, just last week — around the same time she split from her boyfriend of one year, dancer Ricky Alvarez — she chopped her locks a few inches and added blunt bangs, long enough to peek out from under the hat.
Though social commenters have trolled Grande in the past for her perpetually done-up ’do, the “Dangerous Woman” singer said she’s keeping it forever. Dishing on feminism while giving the pony some love, she told Billboard, “I will [call out sexism] until I’m an old-ass lady with my tits out at Whole Foods. I’ll be in the produce aisle, naked at 95, with a sensible ponytail, one strand of hair left on my head and a Chanel bow. Mark my words. See you there with my 95 dogs.”
