Becky G is adding yet another fierce collaboration to her resume. The songstress who has worked with music industry stars like will.i.am, Wiz Khalifa, Demi Lovato and Katy Perry is now sharing her love of makeup with her fans with her new ColourPop collection called Salvaje. And the line of lip, eye and face products will have you rocking your sexiest holiday beauty look yet.
“Working with ColourPop has been so amazing. It’s always been a dream of mine to venture out into the beauty world given that makeup is a passion of mine,” Becky tells Us. “Most times I actually do my makeup and hair on the road myself because I love it so much! I am a big fan of highlighters and fun lip colors.”
Inspired by her Latin roots, the Salvaje (which translates to “wild” in English) collection includes a jewel-tone eyeshadow palette, highlighters and liquid lipsticks. With 12 shadow shades, two highlighters and five lippies, the performer was determined to offer products that would work on a wide range of skin tones.
“I wanted to create colors that would look good on all of my fans,” she says. “Also having my Latina culture inspire the line was very important to me. Naming the shades was a fun part because I had so many ideas!”
She tells Us that she particularly had a blast dreaming up names for the liquid lips, which come in neutrals and reds with matte and satin finishes. She says she’ll be rocking the Bésame (a brick red) hue over the holidays because she needs “whatever helps me look cute while stuffing my face with tamales and chocolate abuelita” and the longwear formula “ain’t going no where.”
