Bradley Cooper may not have walked the 2026 Met Gala red carpet, but he did make an appearance to celebrate fashion’s biggest night.
Cooper, 51, was photographed inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 4, dressed to the nines in a black suit and white collared shirt for the “Costume Art” theme.
That same night, Cooper’s girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, walked the red carpet solo in an artistic look. Hadid, 31, opted for a flowing gray see-through Miu Miu dress with crystal flames and flowers on the side.
During Vogue’s red carpet livestream, Hadid couldn’t help but give a sweet shout-out to Cooper.
“I try to bring my mind to a happy place. What we do in our job is go to a happy place, think of happy thoughts and the smile comes through the eyes and it makes you come to life,” she said while discussing how she stays focused in front of the cameras.
Hadid noted that she first thinks of her daughter, Khai, and then her “man.” (Hadid welcomed her daughter with ex Zayn Malik in 2020.)

“When I think about Khai, maybe I’m giving joy. And then I’ll serve something else to Bradley for the camera,” she said.
Hadid and Cooper have yet to make their red carpet debut since they were first romantically linked in 2023. The pair have opted to keep their romance private, giving fans rare glimpses of their relationship through the years.
“Bradley has opened me up to go to the theater more, and that’s something that’s so nice to bring back into my life,” she said in an April 2025 Vogue cover story.
Hadid shared that she appreciated the low-key way she and Cooper initially met at a backyard birthday party for their friend’s child.
“You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating,” she added. “Even for my friends who aren’t public figures, that’s hard. Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people? And then there’s another added layer of privacy and security. You want to believe that people are going to have your back and not call TMZ or go on Deuxmoi or whatever, but you just don’t know.”
Hadid explained that her life with Cooper is “very romantic and happy,” noting that the couple have chosen not to give away too many details because “it’s just not part of our relationship to share for whatever reason.”
