Gigi Hadid took the “Costume Art” theme of the 2026 Met Gala to another level.
The model, 31, walked the red carpet in an appropriately artistic look during the Monday, May 4, fundraiser at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
She wore a flowing gray see-through Miu Miu dress with crystal flames and flowers on either side, appropriately handing a few out to fans on her way to the event.
Hadid has transformed herself time and time again for the Met Gala. Since her 2015 debut, she has not missed a single year of the event, with a total of 10 appearances in standout looks by Diane von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Michael Kors, Prada, Givenchy, Thom Browne and Miu Miu.
In 2025, fans speculated that Hadid’s boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, might join her on the Met Gala red carpet for the first time. While the couple ultimately didn’t share such a moment, she revealed how he was involved in her day prior to the event.
“I woke up, I was with my man. We had a chill morning with some laughs,” Hadid said in a Vogue red carpet interview in May 2025. “Then I went to my house, had an hour by myself, then took a shower, had my fitting, had chicken fingers and fries, then got into glam.”
Days earlier, Hadid made her relationship with Cooper, 51, Instagram official, sharing a photo of the pair — who have been linked since October 2023 — kissing at her 30th birthday party.
“Bradley and Gigi have the same low-key vibe,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2025. “He went all out to make her feel loved on her birthday and planned everything himself.”
According to the insider, the soiree “wasn’t flashy,” but instead “incredibly thoughtful and personal.”
“He knows Gigi doesn’t like over-the-top attention, so it was a very curated evening with her closest friends,” the source said.
Hadid previously opened up about her desire to keep her love life out of the spotlight.
“You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating, and even for my friends who aren’t public figures, that’s hard,” she told Vogue in her April 2025 cover story. “Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people?”
She added, “And then there’s another added layer of privacy and security. You want to believe that people are going to have your back and not call TMZ or go on Deuxmoi or whatever, but you just don’t know.”
Elsewhere in the profile, Hadid described her dynamic with Cooper as “very romantic and happy,” noting that “knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential” at this stage of her life.
“And then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve … and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be,” she explained. “I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky’s the word.”
Hadid and Cooper are both parents of daughters — she shares Khai, 5, with ex Zayn Malik, while he has Lea De Seine, 8, with ex Irina Shayk.
