Is this the Christian Grey that could have been? Charlie Hunnam looked almost unrecognizable as he stepped out in Toronto on Monday, March 31. The typically furry-faced Sons of Anarchy hunk was photographed with a clean-shaven face after picking up some knick knacks at a grocery store.
Hunnam, 33, looked slim as he wore loose-fitting jeans and a zip-up sweatshirt. His signature scruff was all gone as he kept his blonde locks swept back. He wrapped Season 6 of his gritty FX smash Sons of Anarchy back in December 2013, and is currently in Canada shooting the film Crimson Peak with Guillermo Del Toro.
The smoldering actor made headlines back in September 2013 when he was cast as Christian Grey in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey — only to walk away from the plum role a month later. He was replaced by 31-year-old British actor James Dornan.
Fifty Shades wrapped filming in Vancouver back in February, and is slated for a Valentine's Day 2015 release. An insider told Us the actor and costar Dakota Johnson (as Anastasia Steele) got along "very well" during production.
