She bangs! Chrissy Teigen debuted fresh fringe via her hairstylist Jen Atkin‘s Snapchat on Thursday, September 15.
As seen in the shot, which Atkin appropriately captioned, “She got banged,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 30, not only has new wispy bangs, but a deepened brunette hair color, too. Atkin, who also styles the Kardashian ladies’ hair, re-posted the pic via her Instagram account and wrote, “Just face it…NYFW is alllll about…BANGS!” (No word yet on whether or not they’re clip-ins.)
Soon after, Teigen hit the streets of NYC’s Lower East Side showing off her new ‘do while clad in an all-red ensemble with a peekaboo lace bra.
Indeed, the new mom to 5-month-old Luna, whom she shares with husband John Legend, is not the first lady to experiment with fringe this fashion week. In fact, she’s not even the sole Atkin customer to request the brow-skimming style! Kendall Jenner sported long, face-framing bangs to Target’s NYFW fete. (In pictures taken since, they appear to be real, just long enough to be tucked behind her ear.) Taylor Swift and Rowan Blanchard were also spotted rocking side-swept bangs.
Previously, Teigen boasted a honey blonde hue — a color she’s been modeling for years. However, this new cocoa shade is much closer to her natural color (albeit with a few more highlights).
The Lip Sync Battle commentator’s choice to go dark is welcome change, as nearly everyone else in Hollywood has been going blonde since the start of the season. Swift, 26, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Johnson all lightened their locks over the summer, while Sarah Hyland and Emily Blunt debuted bright blonde tresses just this past week.
