The designer behind some of Hollywood’s boldest, most colorful ensembles — remember the crop top and ball gown skirt combo he crafted for Hyland for the 2014 Emmys? — invited Us into the room where it happens. We got to see the latest dresses from his resort collection, one of which our host, Jackie Miranne, got to try on!

Plus, he gave Us a good look at his just-launched bridal collection for Kleinfeld’s of Say Yes to the Dress fame. “We’re about the [belief that] not every bride needs to be traditional,” Siriano said, pointing out a ruffled pink bridal gown. “But then we have our classic, beautiful things that everybody would love.”

Siriano also gushed over Lopez, one of his most loyal clients, and how she loves to be “a little more lady” in his designs.
