Demi Lovato is giving Katy Perry a run for her money! The 21-year-old pop star stepped out for her first red carpet event since she dyed her hair blue to attend Glamour Magazine's 15th Anniversary party on Oct. 10 in Mexico City. She performed with the new 'do on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Oct. 2, but this was the star's first red carpet appearance with her newly colored locks.
Apart from her aqua hairstyle, the "Heart Attack" singer went for a darker look with black heels, leggings, and a black blazer at the party. The former Disney star is known for being outspoken and fearless when it comes to her personal style.
Lovato is currently judging Season 3 of the U.S. version of The X Factor along with Simon Cowell, Kelly Rowland, and Paulina Rubio, and is also playing Santana's love interest Dani on Season 5 of Glee. Lovato has signed on for six episodes of the hit Fox musical comedy, which aired its touching Cory Monteith tribute episode, "The Quarterback," on Oct. 10.
The powerful artist recently announced that she's going on tour with British pop star Cheryl Lloyd, Brit girl group Little Mix, and X Factor finalist group Fifth Harmony starting in February 2014. Lovato's X Factor filming schedule has kept her from promoting her latest album, Demi, with a full-fledged tour.
But she doesn't regret the decision to sign on to the Fox competition show's judging panel. In September 2013 she told Billboard, "When you have the opportunity to be in front of America every single week several times a week, that's a very incredible opportunity, not only because your fans get to know you better, but it's really awesome to have expanded my fan base."
