Sounds like she's got the royal stepmother-in-law's seal of approval!

Camille, the Duchess of Cornwall — a.k.a. Prince Charles' wife — broke her silence about Kate Middleton, who weds Prince William next month.

"Kate's a lovely girl," Camilla, 63, told students during a visit to the Covent Garden Academy of Flowers on Wednesday, reports British paper Express. "We're very lucky. I'm very much looking forward to the wedding."

The two women have reportedly forged a close friendship, with the Duchess serving as a mentor to Middleton, 29. Last month, the duo had lunch together in the Knightsbridge neighborhood to discuss wedding plans, and last week, Middleton went with the Duchess and Prince Charles for a night at the ballet. (Prince William was traveling abroad at the time.)

During her Covent Garden visit, the Duchess also spoke a bit about the big day, April 29.

"One of my granddaughters is a bridesmaid," she said, referring to Eliza Lopes, 3, "She's only three and it will be quite nerve-wracking for a little one. But she will enjoy it."
