A tale of two Emmas! Emma Stone and Emma Watson wore elegant black dresses on opposite coasts on Tuesday, November 15. See their looks in today’s Red Carpet Daily, presented by DirecTV.
Ooh la la! At the AFI Festival screening of La La Land in Los Angeles, Stone, 28, had it going on in a black velvet Armani Privé top boasting a mini peplum and embellished silk jacquard details along with a coordinating center-slit skirt, Jimmy Choo Minny Sandals and Anita Ko earrings. She wore her brunette hair in a simple low ponytail with a side part, lined her eyes with black pencil and swept on nude lipstick.
On the red carpet, Stone gushed about reuniting with Ryan Gosling for the film after working together in 2011’s Crazy, Stupid, Love and 2013’s Gangster Squad. “It was really great,” she told Us Weekly. “It makes it easy because we know each other, so we could dive right in and learn to ballroom dance. Because, you know, it’s nice when you’re not super humiliated in front of someone you don’t know, learning to do something you’ve never done before.”
Across the country in New York City, Watson, 26, looked like the Belle of the carpet. The Beauty and the Beast actress looked classy and edgy at the Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit honoring Tom Hanks in New York City. There, she slayed in a KITX sleeveless black velvet draped dress with an asymmetrical hem, black sandals and an of-the-moment black choker.
