Before launching into Marjan’s tips, Gwen and Travis talk NYC Pride (and glitter) as well as the best looks from the 2018 BET Awards. From Amber Rose’s long platinum wig, which Gwen dubs “her take on old school Hollywood glam,” to Black Chyna’s ashy-blonde finger waves, the 2018 BET red carpet was one to watch.
Then, talk turns to making ordinary looks extraordinary — specifically that bobby pin ‘do Marjan created for Dorit Kemsley, which is the look of the summer, because anyone could snap up bobby pins for a song and create the look for themselves. #DemocraticGlam. Luckily for Us, Marjan is self-admittedly obsessed with hair accessories.
In fact, the hair pro loves the simple accessory, because not only can they be blingy, but just about everyone can use them. Pro tip: if you have dark hair, paint your bobby pins yellow or coral for a statement look this summer.
