Inside access! Tracy Reese‘s “secret garden”–themed presentation during New York Fashion Week, which featured real women as models, was all about embracing who you are. Go behind the scenes with Stylish to talk pretty patterns with the designer herself on today’s Red Carpet Daily, presented by AT&T.
The secluded garden scene was right up Reese’s alley since many of her designs mix-and-match florals. “I have an emotional connection to prints,” Reese mused to Stylish backstage. “[And] I try to pick colors that look good on different skin types.”
The hard-and-fast rule in Reese’s designs? “I don’t want to make anyone over,” she told Us. “I want our clothes to enhance who they already are.”
That motto has won her fans including Michelle Obama and Whoopi Goldberg. “She’s the most elegant designer,” Goldberg gushed to Stylish at the event. “It’s not just elegant, but it’s light and elegant.”
The View cohost added that Reese thinks beyond the sample silhouette. “No matter what size you are,” Goldberg shared, “[Tracy Reese] makes you feel like you’re a little feather.”
