In Hollywood, being flexible and style savvy is just a part of the game. Fellow Oscar winners Gwyneth Paltrow and Hilary Swank executed the practice perfectly, doubling up on events on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
The Goop founder, 42, started the switcheroo off right, in a form fitting, but totally daytime appropriate, Roland Mouret dress for The Academy Hosts Hollywood Costume Luncheon. The chic white number featured a crisscross design and sheer side cutouts.
The blonde-haired actress wore eye-catching lace-up sandals to toughen up the sweet daytime look. Meanwhile, Swank went conservative and classic in a black Saint Laurent tuxedo, worn with a polka-dot necktie blouse. The Homesman actress, 40, styled her brown hair in a low bun and rimmed her eyes with soft lilac shadow.
By night, dresses got feistier for both A-listers. Paltrow flashed her toned legs in a Versace minidress, which featured a slit in the front. She wore her hair in loose waves and kept the makeup very minimal. The look showed off more of Paltrow’s curves.
Swank was a total bombshell at the You’re Not You premiere. The actress let her hair down and wore a white leather Nicholas Oakwell strapless dress with a floral design. She paired the look with metallic accessories.
