Hilary Swank
Hilary Swank, born in 1974 in Lincoln, Neb., has drawn the most acclaim portraying her masculine side in the films Boys Don’t Cry and Million Dollar Baby.
Although primarily known for those two dramatic roles, Swank has appeared in 25 films, many of them made-for-TV melodramas, and was for a long time the clichéd struggling actress—at 16, her mother and her were so poor they briefly had to live out of their car.
Swank is one of only five women to be nominated for, and win, two Academy Awards.
Swank married Chad Lowe, brother of Rob Lowe, in September 1997 after they met and fell in love on the set of Quiet Days in Hollywood. However, the duo split in January 2006, and Swank began dating her agent, John Campisi, nearly one year later. She is currently dating Laurent Fleury.
