You live and you learn!
Believe it or not, exuding great style didn't always come easy for Heidi Klum. In fact, the supermodel, 41, admitted to Us Weekly, that she's committed more than a few brazen fashion crimes throughout her 30-year long career.
"You know I have been in the [red carpet] 'do' and the 'don’t' pages many times, but I’m someone who loves fashion and I like to take risks," Klum, who after 15 years, is once again partnering with Macy's line INC International Concepts, told Us. "If you’re a risk-taker and you’re not someone who is very safe with their clothes, then you’re up for criticism."
Risky indeed! Who can forget Klum's wide-legged leather jumpsuit or that hot-pink "Genie in a Bottle" red carpet moments in the early 90s? Still the Project Runway star would never call any of her style choices mistakes. "I always feel like, at that time, that was really cool," she said after looking at photos from her 1999 campaign with Inc. "My hair’s still brown, my eyebrows are plucked to the bejeezus you know? It was a different time," Klum reflected.
The mother of four points to parenting as an ultimate source behind her current look. "I feel like my whole face has changed and my hair’s blonder," she said. "I feel like I look more like a woman now. Then I looked more like a child, not knowing what I was doing, looking in the camera with my eyes like a deer in the headlights sometimes."
