It’s un-Bey-lievable! India Ross rejected the notion of a poufy gown for her prom. After all, the high school senior at St. Louis’ Hazelwood West High School is inspired by bold tastemakers like Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and, of course, Beyoncé.

Queen Bey influenced Ross so much that the student modeled her prom dress after Beyoncé’s 2015 Met Gala look — a completely sheer Givenchy Haute Couture gown that featured a back cutout and a multitude of colorful hand-sewn crystals.

“Mesh material with over 2,000 hand-placed crystals was used to create my dress,” Ross, who will double major in fashion business and fashion merchandising at Columbia College Chicago this fall, explains. “I had a local designer, Toi Hall, create it with the assistance of her brother.” And just like the 34-year-old Lemonade songstress, Ross styled her blonde locks into a sleek high ponytail with a curly end, swiped on light pink lipstick and accessorized with drop earrings and a few rings.

Ross’ statement-making piece cost her $800, but the payoff was priceless as her look has been covered by multiple magazines and websites. “This has been a true blessing,” she says. “I never thought that taking pictures at my prom would just blow up overnight.”

Beyoncé hasn’t acknowledged her mini-me just yet, but Ross still has a message for her idol: “I love you, Beyoncé!” she says. “I wish I could meet you. And by the way, can I have the real Givenchy dress? I’m sure I could slay that one too!”
