While the hairstyle has received a bad rap in the past for making a face appear wider, that’s obviously not the case here: A teased crown and slight tucking behind ears soften the severity of the look.
For Teigen’s October 17 style, Scünci hairstylist Laura Polko misted a leave-in conditioner all over and blow-dried strands with a Mason Pearson brush, directing the nozzle to the sides and not directly downward, to prevent frizz. After teasing the crown so hair did not “lay too flat on the head,” Polko says she spritzed hairspray 3 inches away from temples, adjusting strands with a fine-toothed comb. Criss-crossed bobby pins behind ear lobes secured the sides.
