Idris Elba sure likes his bowties! The Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom actor took to his Twitter last weekend to share the byproduct of wearing the dashing, hipster-beloved menswear accessory: sexual arousal.

"My Bow makes my d— hard every time I smile…is that normal?" the Wire alum, 41, tweeted Saturday, Jan. 4 along with a picture of himself in the backseat of a car, wearing a silk-lined, black suit jacket, crisp white shirt and simple black bow tie. The Golden Globe winner was on his way to the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala in Palm Springs, California.

Elba's steamy post received thousands of retweets, which then prompted him to follow up his tweet with another picture of himself adjusting the accessory. "Had fun…releasing the beast..:) (jokes)" he wrote four hours later beside the picture of himself giving the camera a sexy stare.

The following afternoon, Elba shared with his nearly 1 million Twitter followers, "Wowsers! Crazy how many new followers you get when you mention the D*** If I owned a Bow tie company I'd be laughing. Dickie Bows by Driis."

While a fashion line is far off, the actor is gearing up for his second dose of fatherhood! As Us Weekly previously reported, the dapper British star is expecting his first child with girlfriend Naiyana Garth. Elba is already father to daughter Isan, whom he shares with ex-wife Dormowa Sherma.

"It's important to just enjoy the moments, you know what I mean?" he told Us at the NYC screening of Mandela back in November. "Enjoy it just for what it really is."
