It’s the battle of the baddest! Leggy ladies Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna both rocked the same pair of the “9 to 5” belted denim thigh-high boots by Manolo Blahnik. It’s not a coincidence, though — because Rihanna gifted them to Lopez!
RiRi, 28, teamed up with the celeb-loved shoe designer to create the “Denim Desserts” collection. The six styles, which launched on May 5, combine Manolo’s classic aesthetic with Rihanna’s wild style.
In a press release, she admitted that the $4,350 “9 to 5” is her favorite. “Those boots are dangerous!” she said. “If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble.”
But the “Work” singer felt that Lopez, 46, could handle the task. In an April 20 Instagram, Lopez revealed that Rihanna sent a pair over to her. “To the baddest,” the note read. “Because I know you’re gonna wear them better than me!!!”
Lopez ended up dancing in the sky-high shoes in her brand-new “Ain’t Your Mama” video, pairing the boots with a long-sleeved bodysuit.
