It was an even-toed Halloween for these stars! Jessica Biel and her husband Justin Timberlake hosted their Halloween party on Friday, Oct. 31, remaining true to their John Hughes-themed bash by dressing in pig costumes, sources tell Us Weekly.
The couple sent out invites for their party with a picture of Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller up front. Inside, the invite included a John Hughes quote, which read: “A geek is a guy who has everything going for him but he’s just too young. He’s got the software but he doesn’t have the hardware yet.” Guests were asked to “Go Geek” for the celebration held at “The Bueller Residence” in L.A.
According to one insider, Biel, 32, and Timberlake, 33, as well as two of their friends dressed in pig getups as a nod to the Griswolds in the 1985 film, National Lampoon’s European Vacation, in which the family (including Chevy Chase‘s patriarch, Clark) wore pig costumes for a game show, Pig in a Poke. “The four pigs were running around the party, so it was hard to tell who was who,” the source tells Us.
A second source tells Us that the pig costumes were rather “big,” saying it fit into the party’s “chill” vibe. The party’s hosts were “really nice” and continually made sure their guests were enjoying themselves, the insider adds. At one point, a doting Timberlake wrapped his arms around his wife.
The A-listers’ 150 to 200 guests enjoyed party perks like a Kogi food truck, a photo booth, beer pong tables, and Halloween party decorations lining the halls including cobwebs and crushed beer cans on the driveway. The bar inside the home served Timberlake’s Sauza 901 tequila. “The whole party was really chill and the house is super homey and comfortable,” the insider tells Us.
Celebrities to attend the Halloween bash included Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Kate Bosworth, Andy Samberg, and most notably, Chevy Chase himself! Hunger Games actress Lawrence — newly single after her split from Chris Martin — attended the party with three girlfriends and danced for hours, the same source tells Us.
And what would be a party without a contest? Timberlake gave out prizes for best costume to the top three winners. The grand prize recipient was dressed as a character from Weird Science. The insider tells Us he won a signed photo of The Breakfast Club, as well as four tickets to Six Flags.
Their party comes amid pregnancy speculation, which was perpetuated after Biel’s pal and Editor-in-Chief of InStyle, Ariel Foxman, congratulated the star on her “impending motherhood” via social media. “Looking forward to the red carpet maternity style pix to come,” Foxman wrote in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
