While we may not know which haute couture gowns will be making their way down the Oscar 2016 red carpet, we can say without a doubt that countless Jimmy Choos will be getting them there! In honor of the designer shoe brand’s 20th red carpet anniversary, we’re taking a look back at its most well-heeled moments.
Since their debut appearance on Princess Diana in 1996 at a gala event, Jimmy Choos have walked 46.4 miles at more than 600 red carpet events. As for the most popular shoes of all time? That goes to the Lance style ($850, jimmychoo.com), an elegant strappy sandal with a 4.5-inch heel.
“I’m very precise in my design and make sure that all of the lines complement the foot in the right places,” creative director Sandra Choi exclusively tells Us Weekly. “Millimeters matter.”

Especially to the stars, they do! Jimmy Choo shoes have been worn by numerous celebs on the red carpet, including Cate Blanchett, Kate Middleton, Natalie Portman, Beyoncé and Angelina Jolie, to name a few.
Plus, Choos are Cinderella’s shoe of choice. Lily James wore custom heels by the brand for the Berlin premiere of the 2015 live-action fairy tale, and Anna Kendrick wore Jimmy Choo pumps while playing the iconic princess in 2014’s Into the Woods.
