What happened to dapper Don Draper? Mad Men actor Jon Hamm walked the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday, Sept. 22, sporting a bushy beard.
The 42-year-old AMC star had a big smile on his face behind his dark facial hair while posing for photos with longtime love Jennifer Westfeldt. Hamm wore a white suit jacket, black pants and black bow tie for the award show, while Westfeld, 43, looked ravishing in a low-cut red gown.
Hamm has earned a nomination this year for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Don Draper on the AMC series Mad Men. On Friday, Sept. 20, the actor explained to E! News why he is rocking the new beard.
"I was in England and was working on a project and had been away for four months and I finally got home and I was like, I think I'm done with shaving for a little while," he explained. "That was three days ago and then this happens."
When asked if he would shave it off for the Emmys, Hamm confessed, "Probably not."
