As a busy mother of a toddler, 2-year-old son Julian, Jordana Brewster relies on beauty tricks to fake awake.
The Secrets and Lies star, who is married to producer Andrew Form, is always asking makeup artists for recommendations on how to look more refreshed than she feels. “The cooling gels and masks that [they] put under your eyes are genius! They’re superhydrating and reduce puffiness in 5 to 10 minutes. They always help you look more awake,” Brewster, 36, explains to Us Weekly. One of her favorite makeup artist–approved hacks is giving off well-rested vibes by putting white eyeliner on her waterline.
Another useful trick Brewster has learned from pros is to not always go for the obvious choice. “[I use] purple mascara vs. black to bring out [my] natural eye color,” she shares with Us.
But when she’s not trying to absorb new advice, she sticks to what she knows best. “I like things that are tried-and-true,” Brewster notes. “Ignore anything that’s a fad.”
That’s probably why she’s loyal to her antiaging routine. “I’ve been using Pond’s Rejuveness for so many years and have really seen it pay off,” the Furious 7 star, who’s also a spokeswoman for the brand, says.
While Brewster has learned quite a bit about skincare and makeup over the years, she’s got a ways to go with at-home facials. “The worst is when I get a zit or pimple. My complexion is usually pretty clear, but when I get one, it is here to stay,” the People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story actress tells Us. “Giving myself a facial and self-extraction has proved to be a mistake. I’ve found that when you mess with it, it just makes the pimple bigger. Always see an expert!”
