Marie Antoinette, is that you? Julianne Moore appeared completely unrecognizable with a platinum wig straight out of the French court in NYC on Thursday, April 28.
The Oscar-winning actress, 55, who boasts natural red hair, sported the old-school, near-white wig with a powdered face, dark eyes and a scarlet statement lip on Wonderstruck set.

But that’s where the vintage style ended! In total contrast, Moore rocked a white tee and jeans with a sky-blue hoodie and caramel-colored Uggs. Her earphones were plugged into her iPhone, seemingly in an effort to jam out.
While many of the details surrounding the Todd Haynes-directed Wonderstruck are being kept under wraps, Deadline reports that the film, inspired by Brian Selznick‘s children’s book of the same name, will follow the lives of two deaf children, Ben and Rose, who escape their rural homes and head to NYC. While Ben’s story takes place in 1977, Rose’s is set in 1927.
