What is even happening here?! Watching magic happen right before our eyes, Kate Hudson turned her enviably trim shape into an hourglass figure for the night, thanks to a little help from this vertically striped stunner of a dress.
Worn to the NYC premiere of Rock the Kasbah on Monday, Oct. 19, the glittering Balmain halter gown hugged the 36-year-old actress' body (that booty!) while also managing to lengthen it, making its wearer look model-tall. (The Brian Atwood platform pumps helped, too.)
Plus, the design had a '70s flair, which is perfect in keeping with Hudson's style MO — and fitting for the bohemian feel of the music industry-driven film (about a down-on-his-luck manager, played by Bill Murray, who discovers a teen with a beautiful voice while on tour in Afghanistan).
To complete the ensemble, Hudson rocked pin-straight locks and a sizzling smoky eye.
The premiere came on the heels of the release of Hudson's Allure cover for the November 2015 issue, inside which she explains just how she keeps that body so fierce. (Hint: It takes less time than you think!)
"People think you need two hours a day to do it, and that's bulls—t," the mom of two, who is also a co-owner of Fabletics, said. "If you work out 20 minutes a day in some way, you're going to see changes. Like, I've had days where I have the kids — Ryder's on his bike, and I put Bing in a stroller — and I will run and sprint up hills. I do things that people would think look completely insane."
