They’ve got the white stuff!
Wearing the ivory shade after Labor Day is no longer a fashion taboo. Stars like Kate Hudson, Emily Blunt, and Rosamund Pike have been adorning themselves in the cool hue since the kickoff of the 2015 red carpet season, and the trend is showing no signs of slowing down.
At the 2015 Golden Globes in Beverly Hills this past Sunday, Hudson, 35, caught a case of low-cut fever in a sizzling Atelier Versace gown with jewel-encrusted panels that hugged her curves. The star’s sultry mermaid gown stood out on the red carpet for its bold features, but mainly for its winter-white hue.
Into the Woods star Blunt, 31, also channeled the trend on the Globes red carpet. Blunt opted for a white Michael Kors gown with a crisscross bodice that flashed a peek of her svelte tummy. She sported turquoise Lorraine Schwartz jewelry that granted the look an extra pop of color.
French actress Marion Cotillard kept the trend alive at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on Thursday, Jan. 15, in Los Angeles. The Two Days, One Night star, 39, looked regal in a Dior Couture gown flared into a voluminous skit that gave off a Cinderella effect.
At the same awards show, Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike wore a white Valentino Haute Couture gown that featured a high neckline and sheer skirt.
