For her latest appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge, 32, wore a sky blue coat by Christopher Kane, matched with beige pumps and a festive hat by Lock & Co. She completed her pastel outfit with a straw clutch and drop earrings.

The annual Order of the Garter ceremony was founded in 1348 by King Edward III, and is the oldest tradition of chivalry in England. The stylish affair, which kicks off Royal Ascot week, features Garter Knights, dressed in blue velvet robes and ostentatious black velvet hats embellished with white plumes.

The Duke and Duchess’ latest outing follows a busy weekend with the family. The lovebirds celebrated Queen Elizabeth II’s 88th birthday in London on Saturday, June 14. The following afternoon, the couple took their 10-month-old tot Prince George to a charity polo match. “You know George,” a spectator told Us Weekly, “wriggle wriggle wriggle!”

“He was adorable,” the observer noted. “He was in Kate’s arms most of the time, but she put him down on the ground a couple of times to play.”
