Pumped-up kicks for Kate!
Kate Middleton is rarely spotted without her nude heels and black suede pumps — two styles that while timeless and modest, are rather snooze-worthy.
Which would be why six students from England's De Montfort University are competing for a chance to makeover the Duchess' feet!
The design whippersnappers showed off their fancy and elaborate creations in Monday's Daily Mail. They'll have the opportunity to present them to the 30-year-old royal on March 8 when she visits the school's town, Leicester, with Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Phillip.
Besides getting to meet Prince William's wife, the student with the design that Kate herself chooses will be made into one-of-a-kind shoes!
Ranging from plaid booties to to English rose-adorned peep-toes, this design competition is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the students, ranging in age from 20 to 27.
"I wanted something feminine and elegant to reflect her personality," student Tabatha Duffield told the Mail about coming up with the inspiration for her creation, elegant heels adorned with laser-cut flowers.
