Katy Perry, is that you? We hardly recognized the “Part of Me” singer at the GO Campaign’s 8th annual GO GO Gala in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Nov. 12, because she was sporting such an unexpectedly demure hairstyle.
Perry, 31, was rocking a refreshingly normal haircut — a jet-black bob with slightly curled ends, and parted on the side, as she walked the carpet for the star-studded charity event, which was attended by the likes of Robert Pattinson and Kate Hudson.
Perry donned the shorter style just three days after appearing in Dubai with a long black power ponytail and a peplum space-themed leotard.
Her gala outfit by Ulyana Sergeenko, a three-quarter-length black shirt with a pleated polka-dot skirt, followed her subtle bob’s lead in an equally conservative aesthetic — a much different tone than the louder numbers the “I Kissed a Girl” singer is known for wearing on the red carpet or on stage.
Though Perry’s outfit and hair were more laid-back, she amped up her appearance with a vampy makeup look, featuring a deep wine-colored lipstick shade.
Inside the fundraiser, Perry sat with her good friend Pattinson, 29, and his fiancée, FKA twigs, posing for pictures with a big smile. Both Pattinson and Perry bid on prizes at the event and won. Pattinson paid $8,500 for a Peruvian adventure trip for two, while Perry won a Mexican dinner for 50 guests worth $5,500.
