All eyes on Kendall!
A bombshell-haired Kendall Jenner posed (with a monkey!) for the March 2015 issue of Allure, and she dropped one very honest confession, too: Every so often, she likes to have the spotlight all to herself.
Dishing on her first runway show—Marc Jacobs, one year ago—Jenner, 19, told the monthly, “I didn’t need it to be a family affair. As selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family. If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, ‘Oh, Kim goes to Kendall’s first fashion show!'”
Indeed, her half-sister, Kim Kardashian, is often the center of attention wherever she goes. But Jenner just wanted the world—and her family—to know how seriously she takes her burgeoning career. “I love Kim,” she said, “But for a minute I wanted it to be like, ‘OK, this is [Kendall’s] thing—she’s taking it seriously.'”

If the pictures in Allure are any proof, the Instagram queen definitely has the mugging part of her job down pat. Jenner looked more than confident posing in barely-there black swimsuits, flaunting her lithe figure from every angle.
The Estee Lauder spokeswoman also confessed that as a high schooler, she suffered from acne, and it crushed her self esteem. “When I started getting in front of the camera a lot, I think my confidence started to come out,” Jenner said. “It took a minute, because I had to believe in myself. I still have a hard time looking at someone when I’m talking to them, and I get nervous!”
Being filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians has certainly helped her get through that—as have tips from Kardashian. Explaining why, unlike a lot of models in the industry, she doesn’t have any tattoos, Jenner confessed, “I have a really weird thing about ‘forever.’ And my sister Kim always said, ‘Don’t put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.'”
