Love for fashion! Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love just scored a major style deal.
Us Weekly can exclusively reveal that the Olympic gold medalist, 27, is stepping into more fashionable shoes as a brand ambassador for Banana Republic.
“Banana Republic is such a classic brand, and I am excited to be chosen as the first athlete ambassador for the brand,” Love told Us Weekly of his new venture. “Since I am always on the move, it is important that my clothes are not only stylish but are functional as well. Banana Republic absolutely hits the mark on both.”
And his new go-to piece from his new gig? “My favorite item from the shoot, and what I’ve worn the most, is Banana Republic’s Coolmax sweater,” Love says. “The relaxed fit is still polished, but it also keeps me cool and is wrinkle resistant.”
And the feeling is mutual. “Kevin embodies the confidence and optimism our customers find inspiring,” Aimee Lapic, SVP and General Manager of Customer Experience at Banana Republic told Us.
The announcement comes two days after the three-time NBA All-Star posted a teaser for fans on Instagram, writing, “Getting involved in the fashion game…stay tuned to find out more.”
Love’s Spring campaign (and the Banana Republic collection) debuts on March 8.
