Why Khloe Kardashian Broke Her Stylist’s Number One Rule

Rules are made to be broken — right, KoKo? Khloe Kardashian ignored her longtime stylist’s advice while celebrating Scott Disick’s birthday in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 27.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 31, outfitted her revenge body in the skintight House of CB Rivera Electric Rose Deep V Latex Dress. “My hairstylist Jen [Atkin] told me that I should wear white shoes, and my wardrobe stylist Monica [Rose] was like, ‘Who would ever wear white shoes with this dress?!’” she recalled on her website, khloewithak.com.

Kardashian said that Rose, who also works with Gigi Hadid and Chrissy Teigen, wanted her to wear nude or gray heels like her older sister Kim Kardashian did years before. Back in 2014, the mom to North West and Saint wore an Atsuko Kudo latex top and skirt with gray Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.

The Strong Looks Better Naked author wanted to heed Rose’s advice but ended up going with her gut. “When I was packing, I was rushing and couldn't figure out what to wear — then I heard Jen's voice in my head and couldn't stop thinking about the white shoes!”

And when Khloe Instagrammed the look on May 28, she apologized to Rose for doing her own thing. “Monie, I love you! Sorry I wore white shoes Monica! lol 🙊,” she wrote.

Rose’s response? “She said, ‘Thank God you pointed it out. I didn't want people thinking I did that!’” Khloe reflected.

Still, she has no regrets for the risky pairing. “Monica is pretty much always spot on, and I trust her taste, but sometimes you just gotta do you!” she explained in the post.
