You and your S.O. weren’t the only ones hashing out “The Dress” last night!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got into the online color debate, too—and just like Us, they couldn’t agree on which colors made up the now-famous frock.
For those who missed it: On Thursday, Feb. 26, a Tumblr user named Swiked shared a photo of a two-toned tiered dress with the caption, “Guys please help me—is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree…” People across the Internet—including celebs like Mindy Kaling, Taylor Swift, and Julianne Moore—answered the call to action, but could not come to a consensus as to the colors of “The Dress.”
But then, around midnight, Kardashian piped up:
What color is that dress? I see white & gold. Kanye sees black & blue, who is color blind?

Turns out, there’s a scientific explanation to their divided house. Wired investigated, and long story short, the discrepancy comes down to retina differences, the use of light in the photo, and perhaps even a bit of clever Photoshop work.
Nevertheless, a dress that appears to be the dress has been circulating the web. The dress, by Roman Originals, comes in white, a deep violet blue, a peach, and a blood red, but each dress is embellished with black lace—no gold in sight.
What did you see? Tell Us in the poll above: Do you see black and blue, or white and gold?
