It wouldn’t be a Kimye wedding without a dress swap! Kim Kardashian changed into a second outfit on her big day at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy on Saturday, May 24, Us Weekly confirms.
A Balmain rep tells Us that the reality star wore a custom-designed dress by Olivier Rousteing for her post-ceremony reception, which was planned by celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks.
Kardashian also chose a Balmain number for her bachelorette party at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Thursday, May 22. North West‘s mommy enjoyed a night out with her girls in an elaborate light blue studded piece, which was inspired by a Faberge egg.
Rousteing, who attended Kardashian’s wedding, shared multiple updates from the popular photo booth on Sunday, May 25—one, of course, with the wife in his design. “HELLO MISS WEST KARDASHIAN,” he wrote beside the pic. The designer also shared a booth photo of the happy newlyweds and wrote, “SO MUCH LOVE IN A PIC —–> mrs Kardashian West #yeaaaaahhhhhhhh.”
For her actual wedding ceremony to Kanye West, Kardashian looked resplendent in Givenchy. In the days leading up to her big day, sources told Us that Kardashian was deliberating between designers Azzedine Alaia, Givenchy and Balmain for her actual wedding dress.
A rep for the Riccardo Tisci-helmed brand confirmed that the bride walked down the aisle in a Givenchy haute couture gown at the historical Italian fortress. The groom also went with a Tisci-designed tux for his first wedding.
Since Kardashian first started dating West in April 2012, her style has slowly evolved by reflecting the rapper’s penchant for high fashion. West, for his part, gushed and raved about his new wife in multiple speeches throughout the couple’s wedding extravaganza.
Referring to his bride, 33, as the “ideal celebrity… the ideal art” at the couple’s reception, West also praised Kardashian for her beauty while celebrating at Versailles on Friday, May 23. “Kim’s way more beautiful than I am talented,” West said.
