We can always count on the Kardashians for a good contour, and while the idea of heavy creams and powders might not be appealing for summer, Kim just stepped out in a bronze goddess look that has “warm weather” written all over it. At the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards that aired on Monday, June 18, the reality star stunned in a sparkly two-piece Atelier Versace number, cornrows by mane man Chris Appleton and a sculpted, smokey summertime look by celeb makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic using KKW Beauty products that are all about to be restocked. Rejoice!
While we usually start our makeup routines with foundation and concealer and move on from there, the pro took a slightly different approach to Kim’s face. After prepping the complexion with Philosophy skincare and shaping the beauty mogul’s brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz (Medium Brown on the outer corners and Soft Brown on the inner) and a bit of clear brow gel, it was time to create that sexy smokey eye.
Mario used the KKW x MARIO Eyeshadow Palette to create a subtle wing shape and then smudged a black liner along the upper lash line and out toward the temples. For ultra fluttery fringe, he applied Lilly Lashes DOHA 3D Mink Lashes and several coats of Laura Mercier mascara. With the eyes complete, he moved on to complexion (and didn’t have to worry about errant eye shadow or mascara messing anything up).
After applying foundation to the face and neck, he covered up any under eye darkness with the KKW Beauty Conceal, Bake and Brighten Kit in Shade 7. Blending the KKW Beauty Creme Contour Sticks in Medium I and II into the cheekbones, forehead and jawline, Mario subtly sculpted Kim’s face, while the KKW Beauty Highlighter Palette I on the cheekbones, brow bones and cupid’s bow added radiance.
Et voilà! To finish off the summer date night-ready look, Mario lined Kim’s lips with the KKW Beauty Lip Liner in Nude 1 and Nude 2, before topping it off with the KKW Beauty Crème Lipstick in Nude 2.
