K. Cav approves this message! Kristin Cavallari celebrated the relaunch of her jewelry line, Emerald Duv, on May 10 in Hollywood, and also paid respects to some trends from yesteryear. The former Hills star even shared her foolproof formula for wearing the '90s-favorite choker with Us.
“For some people, black chokers are kind of crazy,” she told Us. “But I love them. With jeans, booties and a T-shirt, you throw a cool choker on, and you’re good to go!”
Of course, Emerald Duv carries a few chokers — like her favorite, the Santa Barbara ($114, emeraldduv.com). “It’s simple enough that you can literally wear it every day with any simple outfit,” the Chinese Laundry shoe designer said. “Everything can be mixed and matched with everything that’s already in your own closet.”
But Cavallari, who shares children Saylor, Camden and Jaxon with husband Jay Cutler, guaranteed that nostalgia isn’t the only thing she’s pushing. “We pay attention to the trend forecast, but we have more than just the trendy pieces,” she told Us. "There are pieces that will be in your closet forever.”
