Stay away! Lady Gaga revealed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, Oct. 6, that her fiance, Taylor Kinney, gave her that enormous heart-shaped engagement ring to warn off other guys and mark his territory.
“I just put my hand on top of your hand and felt that rock — ooh-la-la!” Fallon said as he greeted the singer-turned-actress, 29.
In response, the American Horror Story: Hotel star said there’s a reason the sparkler is so flashy. “I think that’s why he got me such a big one, so if men touch my hand they’re like, ‘Oh, I feel something!'” she joked, as she showed off the bauble.
The “Poker Face” singer wore a shiny silver sheath dress on the Tonight Show, but when she stepped out later in NYC she wore a bright pink frock with a bold bow by MSGM. After her appearance, Gaga hit the streets with her look-alike mom, Cynthia Germanotta, and the pair of blondes smiled for photographers.
The singer-turned-actress hot pink number is just the latest in her recent glam repertoire, in keeping with the classic, old Hollywood ensembles she’s been sporting while promoting the Ryan Murphy-created series. A far cry from her meat-dress-wearing days, this pink ensemble, as well as the classic Brandon Maxwell gowns she sported at the AHS: Hotel premiere, the 2015 Emmys, and the Emmys afterparties, seem to signal a shift in the “Edge of Glory” singer’s red carpet style.
