Snip, snip!

Just one haircut wasn’t enough for Lauren Conrad! Fresh off her honeymoon, the fashion mogul, 28, had her longtime hairstylist, Kristin Ess, chop her long, lush California blonde locks into a chic lob on Oct. 22. But, just as Ess told Us Weekly, the makeover fun didn't stop there!

"@kristin_ess stole a couple more inches this morning…" Conrad captioned a behind-the-scenes picture, posted via Instagram on Monday, Oct. 27, featuring Ess' scissors back to work.

Just the hour before, the hair pro posted her own Instagram shot, one that showcased Conrad posing adorably as a kitten, with hair that looked just a bit shorter than at the first reveal five days earlier. "On set today giving this cutie some catnip and a hair flip," the celeb hairstylist and co-founder of TheBeautyDepartment.com wrote on Instagram.

After Conrad's first cut, Ess teased to Us, "Who knows, it could still be a little shorter in the near future." And indeed, the second chop came in practically no time at all!

But there was a very specific reason why the Hills alum waited as long as she did to let her hair guru start experimenting. "We were waiting until post-wedding, as she wanted her signature long locks for that day," Ess, who also works with Halle Berry and Lucy Hale, told Us. "I never thought I would hear her say she wanted to go short again, but I'm so excited that she did."
