Lea Michele keeps a piece of Cory Monteith with her wherever she goes. While shopping at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills March 19, the actress wore a gold necklace bearing her boyfriend and Glee costar’s first name.
Michele, 26, and Monteith, 30, returned from the actor’s native Vancouver one day earlier, where the actress accompanied her boyfriend to a childhood pal’s wedding. “Lea was totally gracious and friendly to everybody, and everyone loved her,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They all thought Cory seemed incredibly happy with her.”
Nearly a year after the couple took their romance public, another insider says the TV stars “are going strong” and happier than ever. “They’re still getting along well. Everything is good.”
Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy feels partially responsible for the couple’s flourishing romance. “I directed them in their first scene together and they had that sort of chemistry that you can’t fake, and I said, ‘Uh-oh,'” he told E! News in early March. “So I did kind of know. I take credit.”
Michele, whose character Rachel Berry recently broke up with Monteith’s Finn Hudson, later told E! News she “would definitely say [Ryan] is my matchmaker.”
