Lupita Nyong’o Masters Day to Night Glam in Color-Coordinated Outfits

Lupita Nyong’o had a full dance card on Feb. 26, but that didn’t stop the Oscar nominee (and Us Weekly style crush) from wowing at each event.

First, the 12 Years a Slave star and Oscar nominee attended a Q&A with the Dalai Lama at the California Science Center in Los Angeles in an orange and blue Vivienne Westwood dress with matching blue Christian Louboutin pumps. For the event hosted by Ann Curry, the Yale School of Drama grad, 30, kept her makeup natural with a peach glossy lip.

In the evening, at a LoveGold event held in her honor, Nyong’o kept the Louboutins but changed into a gorgeous blue Stella McCartney dress with an asymmetrical neckline and a keyhole cut-out at the midriff. She added height to her hair for an edgy look.

But the standout style was her makeup: The Kenyan actress wore electric blue eyeliner and bright red lip, both of which looked beautiful against her skin tone. Makeup artist Nick Barose created the look for Nyong’o. “Who says you can’t wear bright eyes with bright lips? I wanted to make the look quirky, fun, and very Pop art,” Barose told Us Weekly, noting that he used Lancome Artliner 24H Bold Color Precision Eyeliner in Sapphire and YSL Rouge Pur Couture in #1 Le Rouge.
