Passing the torch!
After last year's jaunt of endless red carpets for her role in 12 Years a Slave, Lupita Nyong'o got a chance to simply relax on the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday Jan. 11, in Beverly Hills.
While she claimed her stake as the 2014 red carpet queen at last year's even in a scarlet caped Ralph Lauren gown, the Oscar winner, 31, selected a purple Giambattista Valli dress with a feathered bodice, and accessorized with Chopard jewels for this year's show.
Although the pressure is seemingly off with her not being nominated this time around, she told Ryan Seacrest that there are a number of highly anticipated projects in the works.
"It was lots of fun and now the pressure's off," she said on the red carpet. "This year it's fun to be on the other side of things and to pass the baton."
