The world may never learn the secret behind Madonna‘s youthful appearance, but now we know everything about the superstar’s three incredible costumes — all created by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Haute Couture — at Sunday’s Super Bowl.
Clad in an Egyptian-inspired ensemble consisting of a flashy cape hand-embroidered with gold metal, studs, crystals, and lined in leopard-print chiffon and an over-the-top, custom gold headdress (by Philip Treacy), the 53-year-old was carried in on a throne for the first part of her performance, set to her hit “Vogue.”
“People say everything has a limit, but limits do not exist with Madonna,” Tisci said in a statement.
She rocked a black minidress with a leopard-print cape and hand-studded python belt while singing “Give Me All Your Luvin,” alongside Nicki Minaj and M.I.A (who wore headdresses by Erickson Beamon).
Fans went wild over the Material Girl’s stunning accessories, which included black stiletto thigh-high boots with sexy spikes and Bulagri white gold and diamond earrings weighing in at nearly 20 carats.
For her closing “Like a Prayer,” number with Cee Lo Green and a gospel choir, Madonna, avoided any sort of wardrobe malfunction, in a long black silk coat hand-embroidered with sequins and mini pearls.
