Nostalgia central! Malia Obama joined her dad, President Barack Obama, on a trip to Chicago on Thursday, April 7, wearing quite the perfect ’90s ensemble.
The soon-to-be college-bound high school student, 17, donned a pair of high-waisted light-wash jeans, teamed with a white tee. She added a feminine blush-hued coat on top, and finished with a cream backpack and flat black boots.

Malia modeled her casual-cool separates while watching her father address students at the University of Chicago Law School (where he was a teacher for more than a decade). After that, the pair jumped back on Air Force One and jetted to L.A., where they attended a fundraiser hosted by Walt Disney Studios exec Alan Horn.

After a second fundraiser on Friday morning — this one hosted by Tobey Maguire and his wife, Jennifer Meyer — the father-daughter duo will then head north to San Francisco before flying home.
