Mimi, is that you?
After teasing the arrival of something big, Mariah Carey finally unveiled the cover art for her new album, #1 to Infinity, via Instagram, on Sunday, April 12.
"#RevealMariah thank you #lambily for joining the fun & revealing my new album cover! My new album #1 To Infinity will be available for pre-orders tomorrow @ 10am EST on mariahcarey.com! More details to follow! #1toInfinity," Carey captioned the photo.
The mother of twins Monroe and Moroccan, 3, rocked a plunging black minidress on the cover, which presented the illusion of her having a dramatically svelte figure. While the singer looks sexy and enviably leggy in the fringed ensemble, a few of the five-time Grammy winner's fans immediately called out her seemingly slimmed down legs, face, and body.
"Photoshopped to the max," one Instagram commenter wrote. "Wondering whose body they Photoshopped her head onto?," another commenter questioned. However, there were just as many followers who complimented the singer on the glamour shot. "I friggin love this cover! Gives me so much old school Mariah vibes," one follower wrote. "She looks amazing," yet another commenter defended.
Carey's thin frame was quite a different look from the Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala 2015 on March 14, in Los Angeles. While she rocked the same fierce hairstyle and sultry makeup, she covered up in a long slip dress and black opera gloves that stretched all the way up her arms.
