Who needs makeup when you look this radiant? Melissa McCarthy stunned with a fresh, makeup-free face while on the Los Angeles set of Ghostbusters on Sunday, May 1.

Dressed in character as scientist Abby Yates, the Boss actress, 45, smiled while showing off porcelain skin and a tousled bun. Gearing up for some ghost-busting, McCarthy also sported a protective vest, leg pads and pink elbow pads over a purple tunic and harem pants.

McCarthy stars alongside Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in the much-anticipated, female-led reboot of the 1980s classic.

"Getting to go to work every day with Paul Feig and with those three other ladies and all the different people we had in and out of there [was the most fun]," the Oscar-nominated actress told Us Weekly at the Time 100 Gala. "There's not a bad day that we had. That was kind of a pinch yourself every day and at the end of those four months, you leave heartbroken. That's pretty much how that went."

McCarthy also dished to Us about her "sentimental" return to Gilmore Girls. "There was the longest time when it was just not going to work out schedule wise and then once we decided like, 'Is there any possible way?'" she shared. "Something big fell out for me; something changed for them and then we immediately – I went back an visited about two weeks ago and saw the sets again and everybody on them and it just felt—oh my god, I get so sentimental and it felt like the greatest idea in the world. It was just lovely."
