
Kristen Wiig

Kristen Wiig was born on August 22, 1983 in New York. After growing up in New York and Pennsylvania, she went on to attend the University of Arizona where she majored in art. She later dropped out and moved to L.A., where she joined The Groundlings improv troupe.
In November 2005, Wiig made her Saturday Night Live debut as a featured extra. In 2006, she became a full member of the cast. Her SNL performances have been nominated for Emmy Awards in 2009 and 2010.
Wiig appeared alongside fellow SNL actor Will Forte in the 2010 film MacGruber. In 2011, she starred in Bridesmaids, a comedy she co-worote with Annie Mumolo.
She was briefly married to actor Hayes Hargrove. She’s currently dating actor and writer Brian Petsos.
