Beach Blake, Chef Blake, and Mom-to-Be Blake—Michael Kors loves dressing them all!
The Project Runway judge styled Blake Lively for her red carpet debut as a pregnant lady, at the 2014 God’s Love We Deliver, Golden Heart Awards in New York City on Thursday, Oct. 16, and he couldn’t have been more excited to see the baby bumpin’ actress in one of his designs!
“You know what? When you have a woman as beautiful as Blake, I’m happy to see her in our clothes in any situation,” Kors, 55, gushed to Us Weekly. When asked if he’d like to design more maternity looks just for the blonde bombshell, the designer replied, “Whether it’s the beach, [or she’s] pregnant, it all works!”
Indeed, it does! Lively, 27, looked radiant at the gala event in a semi-sheer nude gown by the designer, a dress embellished with small pink and purple flowers. The forever Gossip Girl added Christian Louboutin heels, and topped the whole look off with an oversized camel-colored coat when she fashionably exited.
Not only does Kors think Lively is super-chic, he also thinks she’ll make an excellent mother. “I’ve known her since she started on Gossip Girl. She’s warm, she’s sweet, she’s fun, and she’s a mean cook, so I think she’s going to be a really great mom,” the NYC-based designer said. He added, “I’m very excited for [Lively and Ryan Reynolds]. I think they’re going to be great parents.”
