Olivia Wilde is easily one of the most naturally gorgeous women in Hollywood — no matter what she says about not feeling "beautiful enough" to date Saturday Night Live comedian Jason Sudeikis (now her fiance). But it doesn't hurt that she has help from the best hair and makeup experts in the business. Walking the red carpet in a sophisticated Gucci gown at the March 11 Hollywood premiere of her new film, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, the 29-year-old actress showed off some sexy, smoky eye makeup and gorgeous, glowing skin.

Us Weekly got the scoop on her look from celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis, who worked with Wilde — a Revlon Global Brand Ambassador — for the event. "I went with Olivia's classic look, a sexy smoky eye, but kept it chic and fresh by incorporating metallics into the look," Inglessis tells Us.

"The focus of this look is definitely the eyes," she continues. "To start, I applied a primer over the lids so the shadow [would] adhere better and last longer."

The next step is "creating the shape of the smoky eye by tracing both top and bottom rims with a thick black line," Inglessis explains. "It doesn't have to be perfect as it will be blended. The darker [the liner] around the rim of the eyes, the sexier the eyes will look."

"Next I applied a dark cream shadow to fill the entire lid and create a base to which the powder eyeshadow will stick. I also used this color on the bottom lash line to start creating the smoky eye," she adds. "I applied a dark burgundy powder shadow to [the] lid and under the eye…to create a bit more depth."

"The trick to a good smoky eye is blending!" she advises. "I like to blend a smoky eye with a strong but light shimmer eyeshadow on the outside of the eye. I also used this color on the inner corner of the eyes for brightness."

Inglessis kept the rest of Wilde's look simple — two coats of mascara, a baby-pink lip, and a glowing complexion, all accomplished with Revlon products. "To create dewy skin, I applied a luminous foundation with a wet sponge all over the face," she explains. "Next I applied a warm cream blush to the apples of the cheeks. This helped soften the overall look and keep her looking young and fresh."
